I was so lucky to get to hang out with my friends from St. George. Did you know I went to Dixie State my freshman year? That's how I know so much about being in St. George. This is my friend Jonny. We have been friends since first grade! I like seeing him because I don't get to see him that often!
Today I sat on the couch and watched TV and ate Cheetos. If you know me at all, you know that my only goal in life is just to sit on the couch and eat Cheetos all day long. I hope this means I am on my way to reaching my goal! But really, sometimes there isn't anything better than doing absolutely nothing. I hope you've had a day like that so far. Then Miss Mecham and I went shopping at the Gateway and I bought concert tickets from the Depot. The man that sold them to me laughed because he thought I had such a strange variety of music choices! I asked for:
I had a busy day full of fun. I went to the Hogle Zoo with teachers from Hillsdale! We saw polar bears and giraffes and birds and elephants and penguins and lions and tigers and bears OH MY!
We want to have teacher outings like this one every month. We really had a blast. Then we started our new kickball league today! I guess we really don't play well...we lost 33-5! Then the referees let us have 10 outs in the last inning and we scored 13 runs! Then Miss Mecham and I attended the first Twilight Concert Series downtown. I love listening to cool music and hanging out with friends. I DYED MY HAIR PURPLE!It's barely noticeable but it's purple. You can really only tell when the sun is shining directly on it but I LOVE it. Remember all those gray hairs I had? They are the most purple! Now it will be hard to tell how much my class of 2014 stressed me out!
Today Miss Mecham and I hiked up to Dog Lake with her brother and his dog Petey. Petey was named after the dog in The Little Rascals with the brown spot over his eye, and he looks just like him! Petey is only 6 months old though.
Dog Lake was BEAUTIFUL! Petey loved getting to hike with us. Miss Mecham and I went to three stores today to buy things for next school year. I also started a countdown on my phone! I bought lots of cute things for my new class. Then I started writing them welcome letters! We aren't telling who is in our class yet, but we have a good idea of who my students will be! Today was a nice sunny day so my family took out our boat! We always go to Deer Creek Reservoir and we have so much fun! My sister's boyfriend Caleb (or you may remember him as Mr. Caleb) loves to do tricks on the wakeboard or the surfboard. This was his attempt at a 360. He failed miserably, but he always keeps trying! |
